After Bradford Divine’s death in 1934, B. Dalton Divine assumed leadership of the company steering it through the Depression and World War II.
At the start of World War II, the company actively went into the production of various military items, including specialty equipment for the Chemical Corps and artillery fuses.
Divine Brothers received one of the first Army-Navy “E” Awards in the country for their product. During the course of the war, three additional awards were also presented to the company.
